Location: New Malden, Surrey
Salary: £31,000–£37,000 (subject to experience) + £4,000–£8,000 commission
Access Garage Doors is one of the South East’s longest-established and most respected specialists in garage door and entrance door installation and repair, proudly serving customers since 1976. As the largest garage door group in the South, we continue to invest in growth, customer service, and expansion.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Installer/Repair Engineer to join our New Malden branch. This is a varied, hands-on role involving installing and repairing garage doors and related products—primarily at residential properties.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivers excellent customer service, and wishes to join a stable, well-established and growing company.

The Role & Responsibilities
- Installing garage doors and associated products
- Repairing garage doors and related components
- Diagnosing faults and determining suitable repair solutions
- Performing servicing, maintenance, and adjustments
- Providing excellent on-site customer service
- Completing job paperwork and records
- Maintaining company vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Offering support to the installation team as needed
Note: This is a hands-on role involving manual handling and heavy lifting.
What We’re Looking For
Requirements
- Strong practical manual skills and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- A reliable, self-motivated approach
- Proficient fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 3 points)

Desirable Experience
- Preference given to candidates with experience in:
- Garage door installation/repair
- Construction, builders’ merchants, home improvements, or trade-related industries
- Servicing, maintenance, or repair work
- Working in customers’ homes
- Mechanical or engineering knowledge
Working Hours
Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
