Garage Door Installer/Repair Engineer

Installer/Repair Engineer – Garage Doors Specialist

Location: New Malden, Surrey Salary: £31,000–£37,000 (subject to experience) + £4,000–£8,000 commission

Now seeking a disciplined, hands-on Installer/Repair Engineer to join our team at our New Malden branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & repairs of garage doors, panels, elevating mechanisms, and associated products
  • Troubleshooting faults and choosing appropriate repair strategies
  • Servicing, maintenance, and adjustments for residential properties
  • Delivering personable, professional customer experiences on-site
  • Admin tasks: completion of paperwork, job records, and site documentation
  • Vehicle maintenance: ensuring company tools, equipment, and vehicles are well-kept
  • Supporting/assisting installation teams as required

The role demands manual handling, lifting and ends-of-arm rotative tasks.


Key Requirements

Essential Skills & Qualities

  • Expert hands-on skills with a strong problem-solving approach
  • Audit & reliability—self-motivated, able to operate independently or as part of a team
  • Customer service комитета with excellent communication

  • Valid UK driving licence (less than 3 penalty points)

Desirable Experience

  • Hands-on experience in garage doors, construction, builders’ merchants, home improvement
  • Prior servicing/repair/maintenance work
  • Working experience in customer premises (private residences)
  • Mechanical/engineering background—knowledge of closing, safety mechanisms & remote controls advantageous

Working Arrangements

  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm
