Hours Per Week: 45 Hours Per Week Including Weekends
At British Garden Centres, not only do we aim to deliver a great experience in our Centres, but we go above and beyond in creating an exceptional customer service experience too.
We are looking for a Garden Centre Manager to join our forward-thinking team. Working in the Garden Centre this is a high-volume environment with a fast turnaround.
The successful candidate should have proven managerial experience and be physically fit as this is a very hands-on role and some heavy lifting may be required.
A highly motivated hands-on individual that has a passion for exceptional retail standards, driving sales & great customer service
Must have previous Garden Centre Management experience either at centre manager or deputy manager level
Be able to motivate a team of managers and supervisors to work efficiently & effectively in order to meet deadlines.

Plant knowledge preferable.
As a Garden Centre Manager, you will manage, lead, inspire and develop an amazing team and ensuring all customers have a great in store experience.

Rate of pay negotiable depending on experience.
Skills Required
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Communication and team management abilities.
- Experience working in a similar role.
- Experience of managing team.
- Horticulture experience is beneficial.
Duties Will Include
- Achieving operational excellence and managing the financial performance of your centre.
- Ensuring the highest standards of display, compliance and inventory control are
- Reporting to Regional Manager.
- Learning all aspects of being a manager in the Garden Centre
- From watering plants, serving customers on tills to posting on Instagram Duty
- Management, learning cash handling and weekly banking
- Booking in stock, talking to customers. Looking after plants
- Maintaining and monitoring Health & Safety in accordance with all statutory, legal and company policies
- Positivity management change, you'll lead the team through each season with care and motivation to deliver the best.
- Ability to identify training needs. You'll be effectively coaching and training at all levels.
