We are a small but growing company which services private gardens in West and South West London. We take great pride in delivering an excellent customer experience. From friendly communications to punctual arrival and meticulous work, our goal is to ensure customers are always happy before we leave. Everyday is something different with new challenges and surroundings.
We are looking for a Gardener to join our team.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned tasks in accordance with contract/agreed requirements
- Weeding and seasonal pruning and planting
- Hedge cutting
- Lawn mowing and border edging
- Watering
- Irrigation installation and repair
- Planting of annuals and bulbs
- Assist in the control of pest and disease
- Support the Lead Gardener to ensure that your gardens reach full potential
- Ensure all tools, materials and plants are taken to site when required
- Support in the daily completion of job sheets highlighting future requirements.
- Flag any issues onsite to the office to mitigate client complaints
- Ensure that the van is kept clean and tidy with a full set of tools. Reporting any problems immediately
- Be punctual and look tidy and presentable
- Cover other maintenance runs when required
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed

Required Skills/Experience:
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Requisite knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade
- Practical knowledge of plants plus experience and using general garden machinery
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic health and safety
- A full clean driving licence
- Fluent English speaker

Working Hours:
The hours of work are 08:30 - 04:30, Monday to Friday.
The Role:
Based in Chiswick, the role is initially offered as a permanent self-employed contractor position with the option to move to PAYE after the first 6 months.
Date rate is £120 - £140 per day depending on experience.
As the company grows there will be ample opportunity to develop into a Lead Gardener role, managing day to day appointments and landscaping projects.
