Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Gardener role based in Liphook. The Gardener will be responsible for maintaining gardens, lawns, borders, and communal outdoor spaces to create attractive, safe, and welcoming environments for residents and visitors. Day-to-day tasks include:

Additionally, the role involves:

  • Operating and caring for gardening tools and machinery
  • Monitoring irrigation systems
  • Identifying plant health issues
  • Supporting seasonal garden projects and redesigns

The Gardener will collaborate with the wider village team, respond to gardening-related requests, and ensure outdoor areas reflect the high standards and values of Inspired Villages.

Qualifications

  • Practical skills and experience in Gardening and Landscape Maintenance
  • Knowledge of Landscaping and Garden Design, including plant selection and layout
  • Experience with Irrigation systems and water-efficient garden care
  • Ability to use and maintain garden tools and machinery safely and effectively
  • Good understanding of plant care, soil health, and seasonal gardening tasks
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with colleagues and residents

Relevant horticultural training or qualifications are desirable; experience in a similar role within residential or community settings is an advantage.
