Manor Grange Care Home is a purpose-built 83-bed care home located in the Pinkhill area of Edinburgh, providing Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite, and Palliative care. The home offers a well-established and supportive environment where team members can deliver high-quality, person-centered care as part of a professional and dedicated team.
Gardener Contract
- £12.98 per hour
- Contracted to 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)
Role Overview
As Gardener, you will play an important role in maintaining and enhancing the outdoor environment, creating attractive, safe, and well-kept spaces for residents, visitors, and staff to enjoy. This is a hands-on role where your work will directly contribute to wellbeing, providing calm, inviting surroundings that can be enjoyed every day.

You will take responsibility for the upkeep of gardens and green spaces, including planting, lawn care, pruning, and general maintenance, ensuring all areas are presented to a high standard. You will monitor plant health, manage seasonal tasks, and maintain equipment, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
Working independently and as part of the wider team, you will help ensure outdoor spaces remain clean, well-organized, and enjoyable throughout the year.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance is beneficial
- Good knowledge of plant care and seasonal gardening tasks
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Understanding of health and safety in an outdoor environment
- A proactive and reliable approach
- Pride in maintaining high standards
