Gardener
Gardener (Temporary Position) – Upminster, England
To provide reliable, high-quality gardening and grounds maintenance services while ensuring all external areas are kept safe, tidy, and well-maintained during staff absence. Immediate or short-notice availability required.
Key Responsibilities
- Grass cutting, edging, and lawn maintenance
- Hedge trimming, pruning, and plant care
- Weeding, planting, and maintaining flowerbeds
- Keeping external areas (paths, car parks, etc.) clean and safe
- Identifying plant health issues and taking corrective action
- Safely operating and maintaining all gardening equipment
- Undertaking seasonal duties (e.g., leaf clearance, planting)
- Reporting defects, hazards, or maintenance issues
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven gardening/grounds maintenance experience
- Proficiency in gardening machinery and tools
- Basic horticultural knowledge
- Understanding of health & safety regulations

Desirable
- Level 2 horticulture qualification (RHS/NVQ/City & Guilds ideal)
- PA1 / PA6 spraying certificates
- Full UK driving license
