Nestled in a quiet nook in Arbury, on the north-eastern side of Cambridge—just three miles from the city centre—we offer 24-hour residential care across 36 en-suite bedrooms.
About The Role
Reporting to the Home Manager, the Gardener oversees the maintenance and upkeep of the gardens and grounds to the highest standard. We seek a truly "green-fingered" individual who is passionate about nurturing our outdoor spaces.
Salary: £12.71 per hour

Shift Pattern: 20 hours per week (worked on a rotating basis, Monday to Sunday)
Home Location: Fortescue Road, Cambridge, England, CB4 2JS (3 miles from the city centre)
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring sole responsibility for the garden and grounds, including planning, purchasing, planting, and maintenance.
- Collaborating with the Home Manager to develop and implement garden improvements to promote growth and vitality under your care.
- Performing regular garden maintenance, including:
- Watering
- Weeding
- Pruning
- General upkeep
- Working alongside our team to maintain optimal hydration for plants, particularly during summer months.
Training, Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience within a gardening environment (essential).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with care home settings or experience working with individuals living with dementia (advantageous).
