Key Responsibilities
- Plan and delegate daily tasks to the gardening team, including preparing staff rotas and managing payroll administration.
- Oversee the maintenance of herbaceous borders, turf, and seasonal bedding, ensuring high standards are maintained.
- Coordinate the maintenance of water features, gravel paths, and woodland areas.
- Supervise the application of herbicides, insecticides, and fertilisers, and manage the pruning and care of plants and trees.
- Ensure gardening equipment (including tractors) is maintained and used effectively.
- Work alongside the property and purchasing departments to ensure gardening needs are met.
- Execute any additional tasks or responsibilities requested by management within the scope of the position.

Knowledge and Skills
- Extensive experience in gardening within a private estate environment.
- Proven people management and organisational skills.
- Qualifications:
- Spraying courses PA1 & PA6
- Chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting course
- City & Guilds NVQ in amenity horticulture or equivalent qualification.
- Comprehensive plant knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Valid UK Drivers License.
