Garment Technician

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Garment Technician with a strong background in seamless activewear to join our fast-growing activewear brand, Thrivin, on a remote basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about fit, garment construction, technical development, and delivering premium-quality performance apparel. You'll work closely with design, product development, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet the highest standards from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead garment fit sessions and provide clear technical feedback to achieve the desired fit and performance.
- Review and approve prototypes, samples, and pre-production garments.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical packs, measurement charts, grading specifications, and construction details.
- Work closely with designers to translate concepts into commercially viable products.
- Liaise directly with factories and suppliers to resolve technical and production issues.
- Provide expertise on seamless knitting technologies, yarns, fabric performance, and garment construction.
- Ensure products meet quality, durability, functionality, and aesthetic standards.
- Manage the fitting process from first sample through to production approval.
- Identify opportunities for product improvement, consistency, and cost efficiencies without compromising quality.
- Support product testing and wear trials where required.
- Ensure all garments comply with relevant quality and performance standards.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Garment Technician, ideally within premium activewear or sportswear.
- Demonstrable expertise in seamless activewear construction is essential.
- Strong knowledge of garment fit, grading, pattern construction, and technical specifications.
- Experience working directly with overseas manufacturers and suppliers.
- Excellent understanding of performance fabrics, yarns, stretch recovery, and seamless knitting techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and provide detailed fit comments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple product launches simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and garment specification software
