About The Role
At Sulzer, we specialise in delivering top-tier service to our customers across the oil & gas, power generation, and renewable sectors. With our recent £1 million investment, our Ellon facility is now a Centre of Excellence, providing cutting-edge support for electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and turbo-compressors. We are looking for a skilled Gas Compressor Technician to join our team.
As a Gas Compressor Technician, you will be working directly on the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of gas compressors. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers' equipment is serviced to the highest standards, meeting industry specifications and maintaining operational efficiency.
Your Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Disassembling, inspecting, and rebuilding gas compressors and their components
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults in a variety of compressor types
- Precision fitting, machining, and assembly work as required
- Performing dynamic and functional testing on overhauled equipment
- Collaborating with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with HSE requirements

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Need
- Experience in the overhaul and maintenance of gas compressors or similar rotating equipment
- Proficiency in mechanical fitting, assembly, and fault diagnosis
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude to teamwork
- Awareness of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
