Places for People – Qualified Gas Engineer
We're hiring a qualified Gas Engineer, offering a company van and consistent work within your Community. You’ll be working locally, making a real difference to the homes and neighbourhoods we operate in.

- Core working hours: 08:00-16:30 (Monday–Friday)

What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out gas servicing, maintenance, and installation across domestic properties
- Working in full compliance with gas safety regulations and health & safety standards
- Participating in an on-call rota as required
- Managing van stock to maximise first-time fix rates
- Collaborating with teams to meet service targets
- Recording work activity and compliance documentation

What Your Day Could Look Like
- Following a structured schedule for servicing, maintenance, and installation work
- Travelling between jobs in your company van
- Working independently or with a team of tradespeople
- Direct customer engagement in homes
- Completing work efficiently while prioritising compliance & safety
Where You’ll Work
You’ll be operating across:
- Occupied homes
- Void (empty) properties
- A range of domestic properties in your local area
- Vulnerable customer environments
Essential Criteria (Must Meet All)
✅ ACS gas qualifications and Gas Safe registration ✅ Experience as a Gas Engineer (preferably in social housing/domestic properties) ✅ Full UK driving licence ✅ Prepared to be based within the BL postcode area
Nice to Have (Not Essential)
- Experience in meeting service KPIs
- Strong fault-finding skills
