Gas Engineer - Service & Repair

Role Overview

Maintain and repair heating systems in our clients' properties, ensuring that the heating and hot water systems operate efficiently and safely, and that any repairs are completed in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with strong technical skills, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to delivering quality service. You’ll be working across a variety of environments, so adaptability to different settings and client needs is essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out service and maintenance works on a variety of domestic properties across the region
  • Ensure high levels of customer care in dealing with clients and tenants to meet required quality standards
  • Communicate updates and progress of work, completing required paperwork electronically and manually
  • Ensure adherence to all Health and Safety requirements, including:
    • Risk Assessments
    • Safe Systems of Work
    • COSHH Records
  • Comply with stock ordering and auditing procedures to ensure availability of parts for job requirements

Skills & Experience

Qualifications & Legal Compliance

  • Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications – essential:
    • CCN1
    • CENWAT
    • HTR1
    • CKR1
  • Valid UK driving licence – essential

Experience & Technical Knowledge

  • Previous practical experience in gas maintenance within a domestic capacity
  • Strong understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently

Soft Skills & Attitude

  • A professional and friendly attitude with the capacity to build strong client and tenant relationships
