Gas-Qualified Trainee White Goods Engineer - Ipswich - Field Based - Full Training Provided.
Salary: £33,500 to £34,000 - with increases once you're signed off training
Permanent, Full-time | 40 hours per week, Mon to Fri | Company van provided - private use optional | Tools & Training Provided

Already Gas Qualified? Ready to Learn a New Trade?
We're looking for individuals who already hold CCN1 and CKR1 gas qualifications and want to expand their skills into appliance repair. We'll provide:
- Full City & Guilds Assured training at our North East of England training academy.
- Mentorship from an experienced engineer
- Training to repair household appliances including washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, electric cookers, and gas cookers
What You Will Do:
- Learn to repair and maintain household appliances including washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, electric cookers, and gas cookers
- Visit customers' homes to diagnose issues and carry out repairs safely and efficiently
- Troubleshoot problems using your mechanical or electrical skills
- Record and manage job details using in-house engineer software
- Follow guidance from your mentor while building skills and confidence
- Provide excellent customer service, explaining repairs clearly and professionally
- Continuously develop technical skills through structured training and on-the-job experience

What We Offer You:
- Salary: £33,500 to £34,000 per annum depending on experience (includes £5,000 high-cost living allowance for IP postcode area) - with increases after training completion
- City & Guilds Assured Training Programme (all costs covered)
- Full training on all major appliances: washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigeration, dishwashers, electric cookers, and gas cookers
- Mentorship from experienced engineers

What We're Looking For:
- CCN1 and CKR1 Gas Qualifications (required)
- Mechanical or electrical mindset - confident using hand tools
- Enthusiasm and motivation to learn
- Confidence to work independently in customers' homes
- Clear, friendly, and professional communication
- Can-do attitude with drive to succeed
- Full UK manual driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
