Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Gas Trainer / Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training and carrying out assessments in line with awarding body requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering training to candidates in preparation for their assessments across gas-related competencies
- Conducting assessments in accordance with awarding body criteria and internal procedures
- Assessing candidates on fault finding, diagnosis, and rectification
- Reviewing and verifying completed assessment documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Supporting the development and maintenance of training and assessment materials and equipment
- Ensuring all activities meet regulatory, awarding body, and company standards
- Assisting with any additional duties as required to support academy operations

Skills & Experience
- Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications. As a minimum, successful candidates must have the following: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (essential)
- Assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA, TAQA, A1)
- Valid UK driving licence (essential)
- Previous practical experience in gas maintenance across both domestic and commercial environments
- Solid understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
