The Opportunity
The client is seeking an experienced Director – GBS, Sourcing Advisory & Transformation to lead strategic client engagements and support the continued growth of our consulting practice.
This is a senior consulting leadership role focused on helping organisations answer critical business questions:
- How should support functions be organised and governed?
- Should services remain in-house, move to Shared Services, establish a GBS model, or be outsourced?
- What sourcing strategy will deliver the greatest value?
- Which partners and suppliers are best positioned to support future business objectives?
- How should vendor relationships be structured and governed?
- How can complex transformation and transition programmes be delivered successfully with minimal risk and disruption?
The successful candidate will combine deep expertise in Global Business Services, Shared Services, Sourcing Advisory, Outsourcing Strategy, Vendor Governance, and Enterprise Transformation. They will act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership teams while leading consulting engagements from strategy through implementation and benefits realisation.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role will play a key part in shaping Proservartner’s growth and market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Global Business Services & Shared Services Advisory
- Lead the design and implementation of Global Business Services (GBS) and Shared Services operating models.
- Conduct organisational assessments, maturity reviews, baselining, benchmarking, and opportunity assessments.
- Develop business cases, target operating models, governance frameworks, and transformation roadmaps.
- Advise clients on service delivery strategies, organisational design, and process ownership models.
- Support the development of Global Process Ownership (GPO) structures and process-led organisations.
- Design service management and performance frameworks that drive accountability and continuous improvement.
Sourcing Strategy & Outsourcing Advisory
- Lead strategic sourcing assessments across Finance, HR, Procurement, IT, Analytics, Customer Operations, and Enterprise Services functions.
- Advise clients on Shared Services, GBS, outsourcing, managed services, captive centre, and hybrid delivery models.
- Design sourcing strategies aligned to business objectives, operating model requirements, and cost optimisation goals.
- Conduct location strategy assessments including offshore, nearshore, and onshore delivery options.
- Lead supplier market assessments, vendor selection activities, commercial evaluations, and due diligence processes.
- Develop and manage RFP, RFI, and supplier evaluation programmes.
- Support commercial negotiations, contract development, and service level framework design.
- Design retained organisation models and governance structures that maximise value from third-party providers.
- Establish vendor governance, supplier performance management, and strategic partner frameworks.
- Support contract renewals, renegotiations, supplier transitions, and sourcing transformation initiatives.
- Provide independent advisory services that enable informed sourcing and investment decisions.

Transformation & Programme Leadership
- Lead large-scale transformation programmes across multiple functions, business units, and geographies.
- Manage complex transitions involving Shared Services, GBS, outsourcing, operating model redesign, and organisational change.
- Establish governance, risk management, reporting, and benefits realisation frameworks.
- Lead Transformation Management Offices (TMO) and programme governance structures.
- Drive standardisation, simplification, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure successful delivery against agreed objectives, budgets, timelines, and value targets.
Operating Model & Process Excellence
- Design future-state operating models aligned to strategic business objectives.
- Facilitate executive workshops and strategic decision-making sessions.
- Lead process redesign and optimisation across end-to-end business processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance, service quality, and customer experience.
- Support technology-enabled transformation initiatives including ERP, workflow, analytics, automation, and digital platforms.
Client Leadership & Relationship Management
- Build trusted advisor relationships with C-suite executives and senior business leaders.
- Facilitate executive workshops, steering committees, and governance forums.
- Provide objective and independent advice on business services, sourcing, and transformation strategies.
- Manage senior stakeholder expectations and ensure successful client outcomes.
- Act as a visible ambassador for Proservartner within client organisations and the wider market.
Business Development & Practice Growth
- Identify and develop consulting opportunities within existing and prospective client organisations.
- Lead proposal development, solution design, RFP responses, and client presentations.
- Support account growth and strategic relationship development.
- Contribute to thought leadership, market insights, and practice development initiatives.
- Mentor and develop consultants and programme leaders across the business.
- Support the growth of Proservartner’s GBS, Sourcing Advisory, and Transformation practice.

Experience & Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience within consulting, business transformation, outsourcing, shared services, GBS, or sourcing advisory environments.
- Proven track record delivering complex transformation, sourcing, and transition programmes.
- Experience designing and implementing Shared Services, GBS, outsourcing, managed services, or hybrid operating models.
- Strong understanding of Finance, HR, Procurement, IT, Operations, or Enterprise Services functions.
- Experience supporting sourcing strategy, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and governance model design.
- Demonstrated success managing executive stakeholders and board-level sponsors.
- Experience leading multi-country and cross-functional programmes and teams.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting business development and consulting sales activities.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, MBA, Prince2, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent are advantageous.
