Are you passionate about Google Cloud Platform (GCP), automation, DevOps, and cloud transformation? We're looking for a talented GCP Cloud Engineer to join our growing team and help deliver secure, scalable, and innovative cloud solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies, build trusted client relationships, and play a key role in transforming organisations through cloud-first strategies.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage and maintain complex GCP environments for clients
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise cloud services and applications
  • Develop automation scripts, tooling, and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions
  • Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure
  • Provide technical guidance and support on GCP best practices
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
  • Implement security, governance, and compliance controls across cloud estates
  • Support continuous improvement through DevOps and automation initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience managing and administering Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Compute Engine
    • Serverless Architectures
    • Cloud Storage
    • IAM
    • Networking
    • Security Services
  • Experience with GCP networking, including:
    • VPCs
    • Subnets
    • Load Balancers
    • Cloud Interconnect
    • Gateways
    • Network Security Controls
  • Strong Python scripting skills for automation and operational efficiency
  • Experience developing and maintaining cloud automation scripts and templates
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including:
    • Azure DevOps
    • Jira
    • Git Repositories
    • CI/CD Pipelines
  • Knowledge of cloud security and compliance best practices
  • Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Skills

  • Linux Administration
  • Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
  • GCP Certifications:
    • Cloud Digital Leader
    • Associate Cloud Engineer
    • Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
    • Professional Cloud Security Engineer
  • ITIL v4 Foundation
  • Experience supporting production environments and participating in on-call support

Interview process is condensed to two stages.

Salary: £46,000-£52,000 + £600 in cash + benefits package
