We're seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering cloud-first solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients. This is an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, solve complex challenges, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders while shaping the future of cloud-enabled organisations.
The Role
You'll be responsible for designing, supporting, and optimising cloud environments while providing expert technical guidance to clients. Working alongside talented engineers, architects, and consultants, you'll help deliver secure, scalable, and resilient GCP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain GCP infrastructure environments for clients
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise GCP services and applications
- Develop and maintain automation scripts, tooling, and cloud templates
- Provide technical guidance and support on GCP-related technologies and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud environments
- Implement and manage GCP security, governance, and compliance controls
- Support clients in adopting modern cloud and DevOps practices

What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience administering and managing GCP infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of GCP services including: Compute Engine, Serverless Architectures, Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage, Security Services
- Experience with GCP networking including: VPCs, Subnets, Load Balancers, Cloud Interconnect, Gateways, Network Security Controls
- Experience implementing and managing cloud security and compliance solutions
- Strong experience developing and maintaining GCP automation scripts and templates
- Advanced Python scripting skills for automation and operational improvements
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with DevOps tooling and practices including: Jira, Azure DevOps, Repositories, Pipelines, CI/CD Automation
- Understanding of cloud security standards and compliance best practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical challenges and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desirable Skills
- Linux administration experience
- GCP Certifications such as:
- Cloud Digital Leader
- Associate Cloud Engineer
- Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
- Professional Cloud Security Engineer
- ITIL v4 Foundation Certification
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments
- Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call support rota

Interview process: two stages.
Salary: up to £52,000 + £600 in cash + benefits package
