GCSE English Tutor

We're Hiring: English Tutor (Part-Time | Permanent)

Location: Norwich
Salary: £7916.67 - £8972.22 (pro rata) | 9.5 hours per week

Are you a passionate English educator looking to make a real difference? I'm currently working on behalf of a Training Provider looking for a qualified and passionate English Tutor to join their high-performing team.

This is a permanent, part-time teaching role focused on delivering both GCSE and Functional Skills English to learners in Norwich, with flexibility for admin from home.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons (GCSE & Functional Skills)
  • Tailor sessions to individual learner needs, supporting their confidence and progression
  • Complete and review Individual Learning Plans with SMART targets
  • Collaborate with vocational teams to improve learner retention and success
  • Carry out assessments and ensure all admin meets awarding body requirements
  • Inspire learners to see maths differently and prepare them for work or further study

About the Role

You'll be joining a supportive and forward-thinking English & Maths division, delivering sessions that inspire learners and help them build confidence in maths - a vital stepping stone to their next stage in life or work.

Working pattern:

  • 1 full day onsite (8:30am - 4:30pm)
  • 2 hours admin (flexible/home-based)

What They're Looking For

To be considered, you'll need:

  • A 2+ years' experience teaching GCSE or Functional Skills English
  • A Level 3 English specialism
  • A recognised teaching qualification (min. Level 3)
  • A learner-first, inclusive approach to teaching and learning
