About the role: GCSE Maths Teacher

Activate Learning are looking for a Maths Teacher to join our Lifestyles Faculty at Banbury College.

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals who can inspire and engage learners, helping students studying GCSE Maths to have a positive and memorable learning experience. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone with passion and drive who is committed to enabling students to unlock their potential and develop confidence in their abilities. As well as delivering lessons, you will support students within the classroom, guiding them through their learning and helping them overcome challenges.

This position would also be suitable for a recent graduate, particularly in Maths or a related subject who is keen to begin a career supporting young people and gaining experience in a classroom environment. It offers a fantastic pathway into teaching, with full training, development, and ongoing support provided.

This is a permanent, full-time role working 37 hours per week, based at our Banbury campus.

What do you need to be successful as a GCSE Maths Teacher at Activate Learning?

We are looking for individuals who can act as positive role models for our students, ensuring they leave with not only strong academic outcomes but also the personal skills needed for future success. A genuine interest in working with and supporting young people is essential. You should understand the importance of adapting teaching and support strategies to suit a range of learners, promoting engagement, building confidence, and creating an inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.

Previous teaching experience in the FE sector is advantageous but not essential. If you are a graduate or new to teaching, we will support you in developing your skills and gaining a teaching qualification while you work.

For This Role You Will Need

A Level 3 qualification in Maths or a related subject A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one Strong communication and interpersonal skills
