GenAI Engineer

GenAI Full Stack Engineer – Senior Consultant & Managing Consultant

Location: Hybrid / Flexible working across the UK Salary: £45,000 – £70,000 per annum (DoE/Grade) Clearance: SC-level UK clearance required, plus 5 years of UK residency and valid work rights.


We are hiring for multiple GenAI Full Stack Engineers with a leading IT consultancy to play a pivotal role in building cutting-edge GenAI full-stack applications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the wider team to develop GenAI proof-of-concepts (POCs) for clients using technologies like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and intelligent agents.
  • Scale existing POCs into production-ready solutions for customer deployment.
  • Design and develop full-stack applications, supporting both GenAI and non-GenAI projects.
  • Support infrastructure development to enable end-to-end robust solutions.
  • Explore and experiment with emerging GenAI technologies to expand technical expertise.
  • Coach and mentor team members, fostering skill growth within the team.

Core Technical Requirements

Backend Development

  • Experience building microservices using:
    • Python + FastAPI
    • TypeScript + Express (or equivalent)

Frontend Development

  • Proficiency in React with TypeScript, including:
    • Next.js
    • Vite

GenAI & LLM Expertise

  • Familiarity with GenAI frameworks, including:
    • LangChain
    • LangGraph
    • CrewAI
    • Vercel AI (Python/JS)
  • Practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) from:
    • OpenAI
    • Anthropic
    • Mistral
    • Llama
  • Ability to deploy and manage tooling such as Ollama

Cloud & Infrastructure

  • Strong proficiency in AWS or Azure for hosting and deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Docker, Kubernetes, and Docker Compose
    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, e.g., Terraform
  • Knowledge of LLM monitoring tools like:
    • LangSmith
    • Langfuse (or equivalent)

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using:
    • GitLab
    • GitHub CI/CD
    • Jenkins

Database & Storage

  • Vector Databases (experience with any of):
    • ChromaDB, Pinecone, PGVector, MongoDB, Qdrant
  • NoSQL:
    • Preference for MongoDB
  • SQL:
    • Experience with PostgreSQL

Version Control & Collaboration

  • Proficiency in Git and platforms:
    • GitHub
    • GitLab
