About the Role: We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive General Accountant to join our UK Finance team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of all accounts receivable activities while supporting the smooth running of our month-end and year-end financial close processes. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, helping to maintain the integrity of financial reporting through effective management of AR processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and active participation in month-end and year-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities: End-to-end Accounts Receivable – Manage invoicing, cash application, credit note production, deductions and allowances, customer account reconciliations, rebate and accrual calculations, and revenue recognition processes. Credit Risk Management – Monitor receivables ageing and proactively reduce exposure to late or overdue payments. Financial Accounting – Prepare and post journal entries, perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations across AR-related accounts, inventory, accruals, prepayments and intercompany accounts, and reconcile subledgers to the general ledger. Month-End Closing – Support the execution of month-end and year-end close processes, prepare supporting schedules for monthly and annual financial reporting, and help maintain the general ledger in line with corporate accounting policies and local GAAP. Audit Support – Contribute to audit deliverables and provide supporting schedules and documentation as required. Customer & Team Relationships – Build positive relationships with customers and the sales team to support efficient query resolution. Collaboration & Improvement – Partner with finance and cross-functional teams to streamline processes and identify opportunities to improve financial systems and ways of working.

What we're looking for: Financial Accounting Experience – Proven experience in month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. Accounts Receivable Experience – Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role; FMCG experience is an advantage. SAP Experience – Proficiency in SAP and other accounting systems. Attention to Detail – Strong accuracy and attention to detail when working with high volumes of financial data. Communication Skills – Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and non-finance stakeholders. Adaptability – Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment.
