As a Kitchen Assistant
About The Role
Shift Pattern: Mainly Monday to Thursday, 2pm–7pm -occasional cover, holiday, and weekend shifts may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks including:
- Peeling, chopping, trimming fruits/vegetables
- Assembling sandwiches and salads
- Maintain strict kitchen hygiene standards:
- Cleaning utensils, tableware and catering stations
- Organising food and supply storage areas
- Handle deliveries efficiently, ensuring unpacking and restocking are timely
- Serve food to customers adhering to the prepared menu (may include hosting/waitering duties during events)
Requirements & Expectations
- Legal eligibility: Must have the Right to Work in the UK
- Preferred but not essential:
- Commercial kitchen experience (food prep/light cooking)
- Catering or Hospitality certification (e.g., Food Handling)
- Essential skills/attributes:
- Proven customer service experience
- Strong time management and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent organisation skills
- Physically able to stand for extended periods
