As a Kitchen Assistant

About The Role

Shift Pattern: Mainly Monday to Thursday, 2pm–7pm -occasional cover, holiday, and weekend shifts may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation tasks including:
    • Peeling, chopping, trimming fruits/vegetables
    • Assembling sandwiches and salads
  • Maintain strict kitchen hygiene standards:
    • Cleaning utensils, tableware and catering stations
    • Organising food and supply storage areas
  • Handle deliveries efficiently, ensuring unpacking and restocking are timely
  • Serve food to customers adhering to the prepared menu (may include hosting/waitering duties during events)

Requirements & Expectations

  • Legal eligibility: Must have the Right to Work in the UK
  • Preferred but not essential:
    • Commercial kitchen experience (food prep/light cooking)
    • Catering or Hospitality certification (e.g., Food Handling)
  • Essential skills/attributes:
    • Proven customer service experience
    • Strong time management and ability to work under pressure
    • Excellent organisation skills
    • Physically able to stand for extended periods
