JD Gyms – Cleaning Assistant Opportunity
Hourly Rate: £12.81 per hour

Role Overview
As a key member of our gym team, you’ll help shape JD Gyms’ reputation for immaculate facilities and outstanding member service. We need someone who:
- Shares our passion for cleanliness and meticulous standards.
- Can balance member interaction with efficient cleaning to keep our spaces looking pristine.
- Upholds JD Gyms’ brand standards every day.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all policies from the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.
- Maintain our JD Gyms Brand Standard in every task—from facility upkeep to customer interactions.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checks, ensuring all gym surfaces, equipment, and safety features meet our high standards.
- Document and report defects to ensure the gym environment remains safe for members and staff.
- Ensure whole-gym cleanliness, hitting targets for aesthetics and hygiene across every area.
- Maintain uniform dressing and presentation standards.
- Deliver exceptional member service at all times—our members matter, and we rely on you to create a welcoming, pleasant experience.
- Participate in colleague training programs to uphold our exceptional standards across JD Gyms’ network.
- Support team members by completing any reasonable additional tasks.

Key Skills and Experience
- Ability to work hard with precision, balancing multiple priorities—multi-tasking and independent work are essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; you’ll interact daily with members and colleagues alike.
- Proven passion for exceeding expectations—keeping JD Gyms the best fitness destination in the UK.
- Previous cleaning or hospitality experience is advantageous but not mandatory; we assess for work ethic and attitude.
- Ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced setting.
