General Assistant (Cleaning Team) - Everlast Gyms
Job Title: General Assistant (Cleaner) – 20 hours/week

Your role as a General Assistant (Cleaner) is critical to maintaining these high standards, ensuring every space—from workout areas to changing rooms—is spotless, hygienic, and ready for members.
About the Role
This part-time (20-hour weekly) role is perfect for someone who is:
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- Passionate about improving member experiences
- Flexible to work evenings/weekends
You’ll be a key part of the Everlast Gyms team, contributing to a culture where cleanliness and safety ensure members keep coming back.
Responsibilities
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Conduct thorough daily/weekly cleaning of:
- Gym floors, equipment, study areas, and vice rooms
- Locker rooms, showers, and communal spaces
- Sanitise and disinfect high-touch surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Empty bins, replace liners, and follow waste disposal procedures
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, notifying management when stock is low

Team Support & Reporting
- Work alongside the gym team to deliver a seamless member experience
- Promptly report maintenance or repair needs to ensure facilities remain in prime condition
- Adhere to Everlast Gyms’ cleanliness and safety standards at all times
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Previous cleaning/janitorial experience is preferred but not essential (full training provided)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation, and safe chemical handling (training provided if needed)
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- A good communicator and team player
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends (in line with gym operating hours)
