As a General Assistant (Cleaner), you’ll be integral to maintaining our highest hygiene and cleanliness standards, ensuring every corner of our facilities sparkles.
This is a 20-hour-per-week role, ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about enhancing the member experience.
Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
- Thorough cleaning of all areas, including:
- Gym floors
- Machines and equipment
- Studios
- Locker rooms
- Showers
- Communal spaces
- Sanitising and disinfecting high-touch surfaces to create a safe environment
- Emptying and restocking bins, replacing liners, and adhering to waste disposal procedures
- Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies, notifying management when stock is low
- Collaborating with the gym team to ensure a positive, seamless member experience
- Promptly reporting any maintenance or repair requirements
- Consistently upholding Everlast Gyms’ standards of cleanliness and safety

About You (Requirements)
- Cleaning/janitorial experience preferred (though full training provided)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, sanitisation, and chemical handling (training available)
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
- Good communicator and team player
- Ability to work evenings and weekends to align with gym operating hours
