About the Role
As a General Assistant (Cleaner) at Everlast Gyms, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our facilities. You'll help create a welcoming and safe environment that keeps our members coming back.
This role involves a 20-hour-per-week commitment, perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about enhancing the member experience.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
- Performing thorough cleaning of all areas, including:
- Gym floors
- Exercise equipment
- Studios
- Locker rooms
- Showers
- Communal spaces
- Sanitising and disinfecting surfaces to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
- Emptying bins and replacing liners, and following waste disposal procedures
- Monitoring and restocking cleaning supplies, reporting when stock is low
- Working alongside the gym team to deliver a seamless member experience
- Promptly reporting maintenance or repair needs
- Aligning with Everlast Gyms’ cleanliness and safety standards at all times

Qualifications & Requirements
About You
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, but not required – full training provided.
- High level of attention to detail, with ability to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation, and safe chemical handling (training available if needed).
- Strong time management skills with ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible availability to work evenings and weekends based on gym opening hours.
