General Assistant

About the Role

Flexible hours available, including job shares and amended hours. Speedy prioritises work/life balance.

  • Location: Ashford
  • Work schedule: Mon – Fri, 07:30 – 17:00, 42 hours per week

As a General Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping maintain the smooth operation of the depot. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working independently and collaboratively with colleagues
  • Handling deliveries and collections
  • Assisting with vehicle loading/unloading
  • Conducting electrical testing of equipment
  • Managing stock control
  • Serving customers on the hire desk

Responsibilities

  • Support the depot team to maintain operational efficiency
  • Handle multiple tasks in fast-paced environments
  • Work across different areas of the depot as part of team operations
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery and collection services
  • Assist with vehicle logistics (e.g., loading/unloading)
  • Carry out electrical testing of equipment
  • Manage stock control and inventory
  • Provide customer service on the hire desk
  • Play a role in supporting ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
