General Assistant
About the Role
Flexible hours available, including job shares and amended hours. Speedy prioritises work/life balance.
- Location: Ashford
- Work schedule: Mon – Fri, 07:30 – 17:00, 42 hours per week

As a General Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping maintain the smooth operation of the depot. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working independently and collaboratively with colleagues
- Handling deliveries and collections
- Assisting with vehicle loading/unloading
- Conducting electrical testing of equipment
- Managing stock control
- Serving customers on the hire desk
Responsibilities
- Support the depot team to maintain operational efficiency
- Handle multiple tasks in fast-paced environments
- Work across different areas of the depot as part of team operations
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery and collection services
- Assist with vehicle logistics (e.g., loading/unloading)
- Carry out electrical testing of equipment
- Manage stock control and inventory
- Provide customer service on the hire desk
- Play a role in supporting ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver

Requirements
- Full driving licence
- Basic computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and support colleagues
