Food Service Assistant – £12.71 per Hour (Zero-Hour Contract)
Company Description
This role is based at our DN22 0QL (Gamston) location, open Wednesday to Sunday with weekend working required. Our café operates from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday.
We are seeking a flexible and passionate individual to join our front-of-house team as a Food Service Assistant. Ideal candidates will have experience in a restaurant environment, familiarity with using point-of-sale (POS) systems, and the ability to serve hot drinks and table-service food to guests.

Key Responsibilities
- Service: Provide friendly, professional table service, ensuring guests’ needs are met efficiently with food and beverage delivery.
- Customer Service: Offer excellent, attentive service throughout the customer journey, addressing questions and concerns with a connection to expectations in mind.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to maintain smooth workflows and contribute to an inclusive, safe, and dynamic work environment.
- Adherence to Regulations: Comply with health & safety standards, food service guidelines, and workplace policies.
- Cleanliness & Hygiene: Maintain high standards of cleanliness in dining and kitchen areas.
Qualifications & Ideal Candidate
