Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site General Builder / Labourer role based in Guildford and surrounding areas. The position involves assisting with a variety of residential construction tasks, including basic carpentry, brickwork support, demolition, site preparation, and general labouring.

Responsibilities

- Loading and unloading materials
- Keeping the site clean and safe
- Mixing and handling materials
- Supporting skilled tradespeople as needed
- Following project plans and instructions
- Operating basic tools and equipment safely
- Reporting any issues or hazards to the site supervisor
The General Builder / Labourer will work as part of a small team to help deliver high-quality residential projects on time and to specification.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in general building or construction labour, including tasks such as basic carpentry assistance, brickwork support, demolition, and site preparation.
- Strong awareness of site health and safety, including safe manual handling, use of PPE, and willingness to follow all safety procedures and instructions.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools safely and effectively, with a practical, problem-solving mindset.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently as part of a site team, communicating clearly with colleagues, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual work, work outdoors in varying weather, and handle materials throughout the day.
- Full right to work in the UK and ability to commute daily to Guildford and surrounding sites; a valid UK driving licence is an advantage.
- Previous experience in residential construction or high-end building projects is desirable, as is any relevant trade training or construction-related qualification (e.g., CSCS card).
- Training can be provided to acquire any qualifications relevant to the role.
