Our Advisory, Medical, and Marketing teams come together – powerfully and intentionally – to forge unconventional connections, building a future where healthcare is not a barrier and no patient is left behind.

Achieving our mission starts with providing enriching, purpose-driven careers for our team that empower them to make a tangible impact on patient lives. We are committed to creating a culture where our employees are empowered to bring their whole selves to work and tap into the power of diverse backgrounds and skillsets to play a part in making a difference for every patient, everywhere.

Our flexible approach to working allows our global teams to decide where they want to work, whether in-office or at home based on team and client need. Major city hubs in London, Manchester, Washington, D.C., and New York, and smaller offices globally, serve as collaboration hubs allowing our teams to come together when it matters. Homeworkers are equally supported, with dedicated social opportunities and resources.

Our inclusive culture is at the heart of everything we do. We proudly support our employees in bringing their whole selves to work with our six Employee Network Groups – Diverse Ability, Family, Gender, LGBTQ+, Mental Health, and Race/Ethnicity. These groups provide opportunities to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion and to connect, learn, and socialise through regular meetings and programs of activity. We are an accredited Fertility Friendly employer with our Fertility Policy, enhanced parental leave, and culture of flexibility ensuring every employee feels supported across their family planning journey and can work in a way that suits their family’s needs.

We are deeply invested in supporting professional growth for our employees through day-to-day career experiences, access to thousands of on-demand training sessions, regular career conversations, and the opportunity for global, cross-capability career moves.

We take pride in being part of the Disability Confident Scheme. This helps make sure you can be interviewed fairly if you have a disability, long term health condition, or are neurodiverse. If you'd like to apply and need adjustments made, you can let us know in your application.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About the role

You will be Avalere Health’s principal in-house legal advisor and a senior, commercially minded partner to the business. You will provide practical and solutions-focused legal and compliance leadership across the organisation, helping the business make informed decisions, manage risk effectively and operate with confidence in a complex and evolving environment. You will partner closely with the CFO and deliver execution of the CFO and Board’s strategy.

Leading the Legal and Compliance teams, you will be accountable for ensuring the function is set up for future success: clear in its priorities, connected to the needs of the business, enabled by technology and operating with the pace, judgement and impact required to support Avalere Health’s growth. The role balances strong governance, risk management and ethical standards with a pragmatic understanding of commercial and operational realities.

What you'll do

You will be accountable for shaping and leading a Legal and Compliance function that enables the business to operate commercially, ethically and effectively.

Your key accountabilities include:

  • Legal Advisor: Act as a senior business partner to the Group Leadership Team and functional leaders, providing clear, practical and commercially grounded legal advice that supports effective decision-making, enables growth and protects Avalere Health’s interests.
  • Leadership of Legal and Compliance: Leads and develops the Legal and Compliance teams, ensuring both functions have the capability, ways of working, tools and priorities required to operate as high-impact, future-ready teams.
  • Operational effectiveness and future readiness: Drive continuous improvement across Legal and Compliance, including clearer processes, better use of technology, stronger prioritisation and more effective business partnering, so the teams can support the organisation with pace, consistency and impact.
  • Contract management function oversight: Create a central contract management function to offload legal ownership of contract management, setting the function up for success.
  • Risk, governance and compliance oversight: Ensure legal, contractual, regulatory and compliance risks are identified, assessed and managed in a way that is proportionate, pragmatic and aligned to the organisation’s commercial and operational priorities.
  • Contracts, disputes and external counsel: Oversee the approach to complex commercial contracts, negotiations, disputes, litigation and external counsel relationships, ensuring matters are managed efficiently, commercially and in line with Avalere Health’s risk appetite.
  • Investigations and remediation support: Support the People team and/or Compliance team with best practice guidance on internal investigations. Provide legal input on process, risk, remediation and follow-up to support fair, consistent and compliant outcomes.
  • Culture, integrity and business enablement: Promote a culture of integrity, compliance and sound judgement while ensuring Legal and Compliance are seen as enabling functions that help the business move forward responsibly and confidently.
