Marsden is delighted to be exclusively mandated by this entrepreneurial real assets investment and asset management platform who are seeking a General Counsel to join its senior leadership team.
This is a broad strategic role combining responsibility for legal, compliance, governance, risk management, KYC/AML and HR oversight. The successful candidate will act as the principal legal adviser to the business, supporting investment transactions, asset management activities, corporate structuring and fundraising initiatives, while ensuring the firm's operating and regulatory framework remains robust and scalable.

Legal & Transactions
- Lead all legal matters across the business, managing external counsel where appropriate.
- Advise on acquisitions, disposals, financings, restructurings, joint ventures and corporate transactions.
- Negotiate and oversee a broad range of commercial, investment, finance and management agreements.
- Manage legal due diligence processes and transaction execution from inception to completion.
- Advise on investment structuring, including SPVs, holding structures and co-investment arrangements.
- Support asset management activities, including leasing, refinancing, development and disposal matters.
- Identify, manage and mitigate legal and commercial risk across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will be UK qualified with circa 7+PQE and a solid background in transactional real estate and investment management. The role will suit a commercially minded transactional lawyer who is looking to broaden their scope of responsibility, who enjoys working close to decision makers and influencing business strategy in a dynamic investment environment.
