We are looking for a General Cover Teacher to support our partner secondary schools in Tamworth. This is the perfect role for someone who can walk into any classroom, command attention, and deliver a high-quality lesson across any subject.
Whether you are covering a morning of Humanities or an afternoon of Art, you are the professional who ensures the school day runs smoothly and students stay on track.

- Are Qualified: You hold QTS or QTLS (Early Career Teachers are welcome).
- Are Adaptable: You can quickly digest a lesson plan and deliver it with confidence, regardless of the subject.
- Have Presence: You have excellent classroom management skills and can build a quick rapport with students you've just met.
- Are Reliable: You are punctual, professional, and ready to hit the ground running.

Your Core Responsibilities
- Deliver: Follow the set work left by the permanent teacher, ensuring students understand and complete the tasks.
- Manage: Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with the school's policy.
- Support: Offer 1:1 or group assistance to students who need extra help with the set work.
- Liaise: Leave a clear handover note for the returning teacher so they know exactly how the students progressed.
