CML is Hiring: 2 General Foremen
CML is seeking 2 General Foremen to join our multi-disciplinary team in Bridgwater. This role will primarily be based in the South West but will require flexibility for working away.

Your Responsibilities
As a General Foreman at CML, you will:
- Ensure an effective deployment of personnel, plant, subcontractors, and equipment to achieve site activities within the allowed timeframe.
- Work on the Wales & Western CAM Framework for Network Rail from our Bridgwater depot, undertaking railway maintenance work, including Civils and Earthworks.
- Carry out inductions, daily site briefings, and inspections, recording any changes to work methods or site conditions.
- Organize, motivate, and supervise site operatives and subcontractors.
- Understand work objectives, programs, and project details to ensure the contract is completed on schedule, marking up programs and drawings with weekly progress.
- Promote and implement safety arrangements and working methods to comply with CML’s Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies, suggesting improvements for a safe site.
- Maintain and record daily site records, returns, ID, and additional works found, reporting to the Project or Site Manager and Head Office.
- Liaise with the Site and Project Manager and Site Engineer on changes to site activities.
- Identify further training needs and review competencies of site personnel.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably required.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Background in Civil Engineering/Earthworks projects.
- Experience in supervising, motivating, and supporting the training of groups on site.
- Strong knowledge and behaviors in Safety Awareness.
- SSSTS certification.
- Good time management skills.
- Positive and professional attitude with the ability to deliver excellence to clients.
- Willingness to work away from home, on nights, and weekends.
Preferred:
- First Aid certification.
- COSS certification.
- Machine tickets and relevant experience.
