General Foreperson

Location: Iver, Buckinghamshire

About the Role

We are currently seeking a General Foreperson to join our AMP8 Framework Team, working onsite at Affinity Water’s Iver Water Treatment Works. This role involves constructing a new Rapid Gravity Treatment Plant, alongside upgrades to the existing clean water treatment facility.

Your primary responsibility will be leading site operations, ensuring safe, on-schedule, high-quality delivery of work while adhering to specification and cost targets.

Our Environment Division delivers source-to-sea asset solutions across the UK and Scotland, managing both framework and standalone projects. Since AMP3, we’ve delivered over £2bn of assets for clients including Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Anglian Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, Welsh Water, and Scottish Water.

As a trusted water industry partner, we’ve entered a transformative phase with renewed focus on innovation, digital delivery, and long-term capability. This is an opportunity to shape this journey.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive site environment.
  • Supervise and support the site team and supply chain in daily operations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor work progress for allocated projects.
  • Manage labour, plant, and materials to meet budget, programme, and quality goals.
  • Lead daily site activities and ensure clear inter-team communication.
  • Ensure all permanent and temporary works comply with design and quality standards.
  • Identify and escalate changes in scope, programme, design, or commercial impact.
  • Resolve technical challenges as they arise.
  • Conduct regular health and safety inspections and promote best practices.
  • Maintain valid RAMS, permits-to-work, inductions, and safety briefings.
  • Keep accurate site records, including detailed daily diaries.
  • Monitor operator and contractor workload/capability, escalating concerns when needed.
  • Introduce and support new processes, techniques, and innovations.
  • Provide daily progress updates to the Site Manager.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
