About the Role

Within this role:
- You’ll join a diverse Finance Shared Service Centre team, where you will undertake both operational responsibilities (including full ownership of GL processes for a market entity) and team leadership responsibilities.
- Drive performance, engagement, and continuous development for General Ledger team members.
Your Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop a team of General Ledger accountants, steering performance, engagement, and continuous professional growth
- Identify training needs and contribute to supporting team development
Financial Operations & Analysis
- Take full ownership of executing general ledger processes for a market entity
- Analysing financial data to provide clear, actionable insights for management decision-making
- Business partnering with leadership and stakeholders by linking business decisions to accounting processes
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service standards
- Support multi-region and multi-function initiatives, expanding expertise across boundaries
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory standards
- Provide support for internal & external audits

What You’ll Bring
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- CIMA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent, with limited remaining papers)
- Strong experience-led knowledge of finance accounting and tax, with a solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- Team leadership or supervisory experience, including:
- Steering performance
- Analysing KPIs
- Coaching & nurturing team growth
- Experience in a shared service centre or multi-entity environment
- Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to work at senior management level
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive, self-reliant, and collaborative personality with an enthusiasm for continuous learning
Preferred Technical Skills
- Familiarity with tools like Power Query, Business Intelligence, Macros, SAP, or S/4 HANA (not required but advantageous)
