General Maintenance Operative
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 15:30 and two Saturdays per month, 06:00 – 12:00
About The Role
The General Maintenance Operative will be responsible for maintaining the general upkeep and functioning of the site, executing a diverse range of tasks spanning internal and external maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- General internal / external site painting
- Floor patching repairs (concrete / self leveling)
- Installation / removal of partitions
- General carpentry repairs (drilling, boards)
- Floor tiling installation in shops and offices
- Installation / removal of ceiling tiles
- Toilet repairs (leakage, seats, minor blockages, sealing, environmental boards)
- Unblocking drains
- Collecting materials from suppliers
- Flexible working at short notice Weekend work penalised at overtime rates
- Maintaining accurate records of tasks and reporting issues to management
- Assisting with minor refurbishment projects
- Conducting routine preventative maintenance
- Undertaking reactive maintenance (plumbing, joinery, carpentry, and decorating)

Key Requirements
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Previous experience in general maintenance or multi-trade contexts is highly preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills (colleagues, customers and suppliers)
- Flexibility to adapt to urgent, after-hours requests
