Who Are We

At Go-Ahead London, we are the capital’s largest bus operator, with over 8,000 employees ensuring that our fleet keeps London moving 24/7. Our buses, valued between £125,000 – £450,000, are equipped with cutting-edge technology, and we are committed to maintaining them to the highest standards for reliability, safety, and performance.

We are looking for a driven and forward-thinking Engineering Manager to take on this key leadership role. If you are a dynamic, self-motivated, and qualified engineer, this is your opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-paced, high-tech transport environment.

The Role

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for operational excellence?

Join Go-Ahead London as a General Manager, where you will be responsible for overseeing all garage-related activities, ensuring operational priorities are met, and leading a high-performing team. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that all buses leave the garages safely and on time, managing the garage teams, including the Site Cleaning Manager as a new direct report and the cleaning team, and maintaining the highest standards in operational performance, presentation, safety, and environmental management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
