General Manager – Specsavers (Glasgow Trongate Hub)

We’re seeking a confident, commercially focused leader with experience in retail or commercial management—someone who excels at developing teams, driving business performance, and delivering exceptional customer service. This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of Specsavers' most successful hub businesses in Glasgow, supporting both local operations and a network of optical and audiology spoke stores.


About the Role

As General Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the Glasgow Trongate Hub, while also managing a network of spoke stores across the region, including:

  • Airdrie
  • Barrhead
  • Coatbridge
  • Cumbernauld
  • Dumbarton
  • Glasgow Forge and Byres Road
  • Hamilton
  • Lanark
  • Largs
  • Paisley
  • Stirling

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a high-performing team and fostering a positive, collaborative culture.
  • Driving commercial success through strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
  • Ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining clinical excellence.
  • Balancing strategic vision with hands-on leadership—no day will be the same!

Previous Specsavers/optical/audiology experience is a plus, though not mandatory—we welcome industry leaders from retail, hospitality, or other client-focused sectors with a commercial and leadership legacy.
