Restaurant General Manager – Popeyes UK&I

We’re seeking experienced Restaurant General Managers who can take full ownership of their restaurant, driving success in a fast-paced environment.


About the Role

You’ll be the proven operator responsible for leading a high-volume restaurant, ensuring high standards across people, sales, profit, and guest experience. Your mission:

  • Drive performance through motivating and developing teams.
  • Maintain food quality, speed of service, and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Achieve operational excellence in staffing, costs, and compliance.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Ensure full compliance with:
    • Food safety (HACCP)
    • Health & safety
    • Employment legislation
  • Take full accountability for restaurant performance, including:
    • Profit & Loss (P&L)
    • Sales
    • Labour management
    • Food cost control
    • Audit & brand standards adherence
  • Support and develop your team, fostering growth and unlocking potential.
  • Deliver Popeyes’ core standards:
    • Food quality
    • Speed of service
    • Guest experience excellence
  • Lead recruitment, development plans, and succession planning for your site.
  • Manage:
    • Stock & inventory
    • Ordering & waste reduction
  • Build rotas that balance availability, labour budgets, and peak trade demands.
  • Review performance data to:
    • Identify opportunities
    • Implement corrective actions
  • Maintain cultural energy, ensuring fun, high service standards, and a vibrant team dynamic.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience as a General Manager in:
      • Branded, high-volume QSR or fast-casual restaurants
  • Ability to consistently deliver in:
    • Quality
    • Safety
    • Cleanliness
  • Strong track record in:
    • Hitting sales targets
    • Managing P&L
    • Cost control & efficiency
  • Experience with:
    • Labour scheduling
    • Stock management
    • Inventory systems
  • Actionable people leadership:
    • Built teams and developed future talent
  • Advantage experiences in:
    • New-site openings
    • Multi-site environments (beneficial)
  • The ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
