General Manager | Medical Technology
Lead the UK business for one of the world's most respected ophthalmic and diagnostic technology manufacturers.

We're partnering with a highly respected global medical device manufacturer to appoint an outstanding General Manager to lead the next phase of commercial growth across the UK business.
This is far more than a sales leadership role.
You'll have full responsibility for the commercial performance of the UK operation, leading Sales, Marketing and Customer Service whilst developing strategy, driving profitability and strengthening relationships with some of the UK's leading ophthalmologists, optometrists, NHS organisations and private healthcare providers.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you'll take ownership of the UK commercial operation, delivering sustainable revenue growth, profitability and market expansion.
You'll be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering the UK commercial strategy.
- Leading and inspiring Sales, Marketing and Customer Service teams.
- Delivering ambitious revenue, profit and EBIT targets.
- Building strategic relationships with NHS customers, Key Opinion Leaders and private healthcare providers.
- Driving business development, market expansion and new product introductions.
- Developing effective go-to-market strategies across multiple product portfolios.
- Managing forecasting, pipeline performance and commercial reporting.
- Working closely with international colleagues to deliver strategic objectives.
About You
We're looking for an inspirational commercial leader who combines strategic thinking with the ability to deliver results.
You'll ideally bring:
- A minimum of 10 years' commercial experience within the medical device sector.
- At least five years' leadership experience managing successful sales organisations.
- A proven track record of delivering profitable growth.
- Experience leading sales, marketing and business development functions.
- Strong understanding of NHS procurement and healthcare markets.
- Experience developing relationships with senior clinical stakeholders and Key Opinion Leaders.
- Outstanding leadership, coaching and people development skills.
- Excellent commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts and strategic business plans.
