At DHL Supply Chain, we don't just move products – we power some of the UK's most recognisable brands to deliver for their customers every single day. We're now looking for a General Manager to take full ownership of a large, complex and high-performing warehouse operation, leading from the front in a fast-paced, multi-customer environment where no two days are the same.

This is a role for a proven leader who thrives on scale, challenge, and impact. You'll be trusted to run the site as your own – shaping the culture, strengthening customer relationships, and driving operational excellence across a 350,000 sq ft facility. With a strong, established team already in place and ambitious plans ahead, this is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role within one of the world's leading logistics providers.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

  • Leading the end-to-day warehouse operation across inbound, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch within a large-scale, multi-user facility
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers ensuring consistently high CXM scores and service delivery
  • Driving operational performance across a 350,000 sq ft site, balancing productivity, cost, and service across multiple customer contracts
  • Engaging, coaching, and leading a well-established team of 450+ colleagues, creating a high-performance and safety-first culture
  • Navigating the complexities of an Upper Tier COMAH environment, ensuring compliance, risk management, and safe operational practices
  • Leading commercial activities such as pay negotiations and aligning operational delivery with contractual expectations
  • Managing change and peak planning (including site integrations and seasonal spikes), ensuring stability through periods of disruption

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
