General Manager/Senior Property Manager

Are you an experienced General Manager/Senior Property Manager looking to take ownership of a unique residential portfolio? We're working with a respected property owner to recruit a General Manager for a heritage residential development in West London.

This is an opportunity to lead the day-to-day operation of a high-quality PRS portfolio, combining customer service, property management and commercial performance.

As General Manager/Senior Property Manager, you'll lead an on-site team, drive occupancy and resident satisfaction, and ensure the properties continue to operate to a high standard.

The organisation

Our client is an established residential property owner with a reputation for delivering well-managed homes and excellent customer service. This heritage development offers a distinctive environment, providing residents with a high-quality living experience within a traditional residential setting.

The role

You'll take responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of the portfolio, ensuring an exceptional resident experience while delivering business objectives. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing the on-site team to deliver a consistent resident experience.
  • Overseeing all aspects of residential property management across the portfolio.
  • Driving occupancy, resident retention and rental performance.
  • Managing resident queries and acting as the escalation point for more complex matters.
  • Supporting leasing activity alongside external agents and the internal team.
  • Monitoring budgets, expenditure and overall property performance.
  • Managing contractors and planned maintenance programmes.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant property management legislation and health and safety requirements.
  • Producing regular operational and financial reporting for senior stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have

  • Working knowledge of residential property management within the PRS sector.
  • Strong customer service experience with a resident-focused approach.
  • Experience leading and developing teams.
  • Confidence managing operational budgets and commercial performance.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and overseeing maintenance activities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and property management systems.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating with wider business teams.
