Role Overview

This position demands an inspirational leader with proven commercial flair, energy, and determination to grow and refine our business. We seek a manager capable of shaping JD Gyms’ standards and reputation while nurturing our membership and ensuring team success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict adherence to Health and Safety, Employee Policy, and Company Procedures Handbook.
  • Maintain alignment with the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks. Report and resolve defects to keep the gym and equipment safe.
  • Recruit and manage a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to meet operational cover and daily performance expectations.
  • Conduct regular team meetings focused on development, feedback, and updates.
  • Achieve set sales and membership targets, driving revenue from secondary spending.
  • Maintain the gym at the highest cleanliness standards, overseeing in-house cleaners (General Assistants).
  • Manage the weekly banking process, minimising wastage/errors and maximising profit.
  • Enforce uniform standards across all team members.
  • Deliver outstanding member service and foster a positive team culture.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for JD Gyms.

  • Proven leverageable managerial experience within the leisure/fitness industry.
  • A passion for customer service and inspiring high-performance teams.
  • Strong track record in sales expansion, marketing coordination, and team recruitment/management.
  • Ideal candidates also hold experience as a General Manager or equivalent (e.g., Fitness Manager/operations lead).
