GENERAL MANAGER

Located in the heart of King's Cross overlooking Regent's Canal, Rotunda is one of London's most distinctive restaurant and bar destinations. Renowned for its seasonal British menus, exceptional drinks offering and vibrant atmosphere, Rotunda welcomes guests throughout the day, from business lunches and weekend brunches to private events and evening dining. Rotunda is also home to our own farm, supplying ethically reared, high quality beef and lamb that reflects our commitment to provenance, sustainability and exceptional British produce. As part of the Kings Place estate, Rotunda plays a key role in delivering an outstanding guest experience within one of London's leading cultural and business destinations.

We are looking for an inspiring and commercially driven General Manager to lead Rotunda into its next chapter. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality leader to take full ownership of the business, driving financial performance, developing a high performing team and delivering exceptional guest experiences while identifying new opportunities for growth and innovation.

THE ROLE

As General Manager, you will oversee the retail areas at Kings Place, ensuring high standards across the restaurant, café and concert bar. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing daily floor operations and ensuring consistent service standards across the Restaurant, Concert Bar, and Café.
  • Developing and executing a strategy for revenue growth across all these areas.
  • Leading recruitment, staff training.
  • Collaborating with the Commercial Event team to maximise revenue and team efficiency.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team on promotions and events.
  • Collaborating with Kings Place Music Foundation to maximise revenue from foundation events.
  • Overseeing financial reporting, including sales and gross profit targets.
  • Innovating on product and menu development.
  • Providing hands-on leadership, supporting the team during key business hours.

THE PERSON

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a multi-faceted restaurant led hospitality environment.
  • A thorough understanding of London's hospitality landscape and international trends.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • A passion for innovation and delivering excellent service.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
