General Manager

General Manager – Law Firm

Working Pattern: 5/7, predominantly Monday–Friday, with some flexibility based on business needs, including early starts, late finishes, and weekend cover.


We are seeking an experienced General Manager who will:

  • Proactively manage teams on-site.
  • Be accountable for recruiting, inducting, training, and supporting colleagues to deliver a high-quality, efficient service to customers and clients.
  • Control and manage a budget to drive financial growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure ongoing team communications, fostering internal and external relationships, management reporting, and client liaison to drive operational excellence and innovative menu planning.
  • Lead a team of 9, including the Head Chef.
  • Oversee compliance with:
    • COSHH, Food Safety, Health & Safety (H&S),
    • Legal and environmental regulations,
    • Duty of care to customers and colleagues.
  • Manage the smooth running of:
    • On-site café/restaurant operations.
    • 13 meeting rooms, ensuring comprehensive hospitality provision.

Required Experience & Traits:

  • Proven success in managing a large team.
  • Law/firm background highly desirable.
  • Experience in mobilisation within contract catering.
  • Operating experience in a fast-paced environment, with strong operational leadership.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of solid experience in a similar role.
  • A genuine passion for customer service excellence.
  • A self-motivated, innovative leader who is:
    • Highly confident and positive.
    • A strong team player.
  • Experience in hospitality and events management.
