General Manager | Luxury Heritage Resort and Estate
Oplu is leading a confidential search for a General Manager to lead a distinguished luxury heritage resort and estate.
Reporting to the Executive Board, the General Manager holds full strategic, commercial, and operational leadership. The role has complete accountability for the performance of the resort across hospitality, accommodation, golf and leisure, estate management, health and safety, and commercial development.
This is a high-visibility executive seat at one of the more considered luxury heritage properties in the market. It suits a hospitality leader who has already operated at General Manager or equivalent level.

The remit
- Full P&L accountability at property level
- Direct Executive Board reporting
- Leadership of senior management teams across hospitality, accommodation, leisure, and estate
- Commercial performance, revenue growth, and profitability
- Capital projects, estate development, and refurbishment oversight
- External representation with stakeholders, partners, members, and regulators
- Crisis management and reputation stewardship
The brief
- Proven GM or equivalent senior hospitality leadership at a luxury, heritage, or premium property
- Full P&L accountability at property or business-unit level
- Executive Board reporting experience
- Track record of revenue growth and profitability improvement in premium hospitality
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Strong advantage: Luxury heritage resort or country house hotel GM background. Golf, leisure, spa, or members' club dimension. Capital projects or estate development oversight experience. Family-office-backed property leadership.
