Lead an Established Hotel and Shape Its Next Chapter
Mercure Telford Centre Hotel is a successful, well-established hotel with a passionate team, a strong reputation and exciting opportunities for growth. We are looking for an inspiring General Manager who can build on these strong foundations, bringing the commercial focus, operational expertise and leadership capability needed to take the hotel to the next level.

The Role
As General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the performance of the hotel, leading your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, strong financial results and a positive, high-performing culture.
- Provide clear leadership across every department, ensuring operational excellence, outstanding service standards and a seamless guest journey
- Work closely with your departmental leaders, developing talent, driving accountability and creating an environment where colleagues feel empowered to succeed

Commercially, you'll:
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue, improve profitability and maximise the hotel's market position
- Maintain a strong focus on cost control and business performance
You'll also oversee all aspects of compliance, health and safety, food safety and risk management, ensuring the hotel operates to the highest standards and remains a safe environment for guests, colleagues and contractors.
As the face of the hotel, you'll build strong relationships with guests, owners, local partners and the wider Aimbridge team, acting as an ambassador for both the Mercure brand and the business.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an experienced General Manager or senior hotel leader with a proven track record of delivering results within a branded hotel environment.
You'll bring a strong blend of commercial awareness, operational expertise and people leadership, with the ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach when required. You'll understand what it takes to lead a successful hotel, from managing budgets and driving guest satisfaction to maintaining compliance and developing high-performing teams.
