About the Role
As General Manager for Red Lion (Martlesham), you will have the freedom to succeed in building a business you are proud of while developing your team and creating a warm welcome for customers.
- Lead by example at every stage.
- Ensure customers and teams have an amazing experience.
- Expand pub sales by collaborating with the business development manager and the management team.
The role takes place at:
- Martlesham, Suffolk
- Deployment: L4/House
Responsibilities
Key Duties:
- Work alongside your business development manager and management team to grow pub sales.
- Lead by example in all aspects of the role, ensuring consistency in brand standards and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop your team, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to delight customers.
- Champion brand standards and maintain high safety standards for customers and team members.

Additional Considerations:
- As this position requires handling alcohol, you will need to either already hold or acquire a personal license.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards in running a successful pub.
- Strong people skills, resulting in enhanced communication and leadership abilities.
- Savvy business mindset with a keen eye for profit and loss (P&L) control.
- Ability to embrace diversity, champion others, and prioritise care for the pub, customers, and environment.
- Proven experience at General Manager level, ideally from hospitality, retail, or fast-paced industries.
- Desirable: A hunger for growth and success—happiest solving new challenges.

- Leadership experience from high-energy environments (hospitality, retail, etc.).
- P&L responsibilities and financial acumen.
- Commitment to upholding brand integrity and customer satisfaction.
