Role Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:
- Growing pub sales in collaboration with your Business Development Manager and management team.
- Setting the tone – leading by example to bring the Greene King brand to life, ensuring amazing customer experiences.
- Building & developing your team – recruiting talent and equipping them with the skills to delight customers.
- Championing brand standards – upholding customer safety and team wellbeing at all times. Note: Successful candidates will need to hold (or be able to acquire) a personal license.

Requirements & Person Specification
To excel as General Manager, you should bring:
- High standards & meticulous attention to detail in running a thriving pub.
- Exceptional people skills – charming, empathetic, and an outstanding communicator.
- Business acumen with a focus on profit & loss (P&L) management.
- A passion for individuality – valuing team members, community, and the environment.
- Previous managerial success (preferably from hospitality, retail, or another fast-paced sector), though the right attitude is essential.
- Aspiration to learn – thriving in new challenges and delivering excellence.
Note: Industry experience or management qualifications are desirable but not mandatory if you demonstrate the right attitude and leadership potential.
